What's the solution?

Research shows after-school programs reduce youth violence and gang activity; reduce alcohol, tobacco, and drug use; improve academic achievement; and increase school and community connectedness.

North Star Youth Partnership helps youth choose healthy lifestyle behaviors that prevent risky behaviors through an array of programs that build self-confidence and leadership skills.

North Star programs focus on the three P’s of youth development:

  • Purpose: helping you find direction and meaning in life
  • Power: helping you realize you can control your situation and life goals
  • Place: helping you feel a part of something larger and have a sense of belonging
Through our leadership programs, you learn leadership skills and become truly engaged in your community!

You will develop self-confidence as you begin to see yourself as an integral agent of change.

More than 50,000 Yavapai youth have participated in North Star’s award-winning programs since its inception in 1997.

North Star programs are recognized for their excellence.
